Trece- Dallas, TX

One thing I absolutely love is trying new foods and restaurants. With each new destination there is a unique enviroment and taste waiting to be explored. Whether it’s casual or upscale, one thing is certain–there’s no better enjoyment than good food and fine wine (at least in my opinion). For that reason, I decided to create a “Restaurant Reviews” section of my blog– Exploring the delicious places in my home state of Texas, along with many other wonderful places around the country. So, with that being said, let’s get started…

Several weeks ago, a small group of us “Dallas Foodies” met for happy hour. First, I would just like to say–chatting about food, wine, recipes and traveling for 3 hours is like Heaven to me! We met at Trece in Uptown and it was my very first visit. Upon my arrival, I was impressed with the  neighborhood in which it was located. The interior was very chic and modern. I noticed right away how attentive and friendly the staff was– starting with the host, then the wait staff. The menu had many appetizer options, which was perfect for our occassion–appetizers and wine only ;)

The wine list was about a mile long. We decided to go with a Cabernet Sauvignon–delicious!

We decided to order several appetizer’s and share. We started with the guacamole, which was fantastic!!

Then, we had the Nachos Amador con Langosta, which contained lobster, blackbean, avacado, roasted tomoato salsa, jack cheese and jalapeno jelly. Wow!! Good and very rich. The jelly was a nice touch.

Next up, the Cuna Mexicana con Tepache Glazed Tuna– iceberg wedge with Ahi tuna, cucumber pico de gallo, apple cider blue cheese vinegarette and walnuts. Very yummy!

Natalie and I were still feeling snacky, so we both ordered a side of sweet potatoes, made with Agave butter.

I would say my over all experience at Trece was pleasant. The atmosphere was enjoyable and so was the wine. Please take note, I did not try any of the entrees but from what I did have, I bet the rest is pretty tasty! Enjoy!

FUN! I’ve never been there, but all of the food looks amazing! Ecspecially the nachos. I have a major weakness for any nacho.
I’m going to NYC in April! So excited, I’ve never been. Can’t wait to try out all the fab food!

Your post is awesome! I had such a good time and I’m so glad we got to meet up. I couldn’t stop telling everyone how nice it was to talk about food and photography and food and blog stuff and food without someone changing the subject! It was great to spend time with other bloggers! Let’s meet up again soon!
